Mobile auto painter’s can they do a good paint job or ok paint job?
I’m thinking of buying a camper shell for my truck and the color does not match. The dealer told me they have a mobile auto painter that can paint it to match. How can they do a good job with out a spray booth? When is a job to big for a mobile auto painter and when is a booth needed?
These mobile paint outfits use some sort of a water based type paint which I would think to be substandard at best.
They're able to do small touch up jobs for the most part and I would never feel comfortable with having someone paint my car outside exposed to the elements, wind, dust and insects.
Just seems like it would be next to impossible to do a good job even with the most skilled painter.
I personally, would stay away from these outfits.
Before I would let one of them paint my car I would do it myself in my garage.
